Prosthetics is more than just an artificial limb.

New technology comes from innovative ideas and designs. Unconventional thinking leads to transformative models of care and manufacturing products that broadly impact amputee mobility and adaptive lifestyles.

Such a specialized field requires numerous philosophies and expertise. Prosthetic design is the critical confluence of product innovation, clinical expertise, academic training, and revolutionary care models.

LIM Innovations

Established in 2012 and based in San Francisco. LIM is responsible for the most avant garde take on adjustable socket technology. LIM developed the Infinite Socket™ which quickly penetrated the amputee and professional community.

I began with LIM as a clinical specialist, presenting and supporting product fittings internationally. Product education and clinical research acted as conduits for marketing, sales, and company strategy. I then assumed a director position as LIM expanded international partnerships in New Zealand, Australia, and the UK.

LIMs novel innovation and industry approach also led to experimental service models and verticality within various medical providers and institutions.

Amparo® GmbH

Inspired by LIM and born from a Global Engineering Teams (GET) consortium, the Confidence Socket was created by graduate engineering students to improve access of prosthetic care all around the world.

The Confidence Socket is directly molded to an amputee’s residual limb. This technology expedites the timeline for evaluation to mobility and it also provides a cost-effective solution for a variety of clinic models. It innovates prosthetic fitting throughout every stage from post-operative care to definitive fitting.

I’ve worked with Amparo® to provide clinical insights towards growth in its current European distribution and for entry strategy into the American market.
